Hiya Opponauts.
One of our local radio stations asked "do any new cars still have wing windows?"
I'm pretty sure there aren't any new cars with them. If there are, let me know.
The natural follow up question is... What's the last car produced that had wing windows?

I'm sure someone is producing them out of the US. I wonder why they went out of style? Probably safety concerns or some shit.

Not off the top of my head. I know my grandfather's 93 extended bed single cab F150 had wing windows. He refused to sell since that was a good feature for a smoker, the next year (or a few after) they were removed. Since then, he's quit smoking, fortunately. Unfortunately he now drives a Chrysler Pacifica.... such a downgrade.

I miss wing windows. No idea the last car to have them.

Probably cheaper to produce glass that fits the frame of the door, instead of the smaller wing windows.

my 96 bronco has those windows, I always use them in the summer. Ford got rid of them after the 97 F250/350

my 96 F150 had these, probably a truck somewhere in that era would be the last to have those.

I'm going to say the Dodge B-series vans. They had them up until 1997.

Aw yes the ol' bean counter defense. That makes a lot of sense.

The answer is always Miata.
Unless you're talking about the kind you can actually open.

I think we're talking functional. Subaru Imprezas have them too now.

If I had to guess, the 1996 Ford F-series was the last to feature it. I loved them on my 88 Bronco.

My parents had a 94 Chevy van that had them, too. They went away whenever the Express replaced the Van.

I think there was one or two after my '95 Ford F-150. They made that body style F-150/Bronco to 1996. Super Duty probably was in production through 1997 or 1998 in that body.
They are awesome. For when the A/C compressor clutch decides to start phoning it in, which it's done twice.
